Deaths
Celia Lara Arviso, 74, died Feb. 1, 2007, at her home in Yuma. She was born Feb. 15, 1932, in Nochistian, Mexico, and was director of religious education. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Francis Catholic Church, burial will follow at Desert Lawn. Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements. CARMEN BRACAMONTES BEJARANO Carmen Bracamontes Bejarano, 85, a visitor from Caborca, Son., died at her home in San Luis, Ariz. She was born May 29, 1921, in Caborca and was a homemaker. All services will be held in Caborca with burial at Municipal Cemetery in that city. Yuma Mortuary & Crematory is handling local arrangements. GARY JOSEPH CARROLL Gary Joseph Carroll, 58, died Feb. 3, 2007, at his home in Yuma. He was born Jan. 28, 1949, in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a flight test engineer. No services are planned. Yuma Mortuary & Crematory is handling arrangements and cremation. VERN DAVIS Vern Davis, 78, of Yuma died Feb. 7, 2007, in Yuma. He was born March 31, 1928, in Grand Island, Neb., was former owner and operator of Livestock Farm Store in Iowa, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Memorial services will be in Iowa at a later date. Sunset Vista Funeral Home is handling arrangements and cremation. RICHARD C. MORRIS Richard C. Morris, 71, of Yuma died Feb. 2, 2007, at La Mesa Rehabilitation & Care Center. He was born Jan. 5, 1936, in Arizona, and was retired from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma family housing office. Memorial services will be held when the cremated remains are buried at Sunset Vista Cemetery. Arrangements are pending at Sunset Vista Funeral Home. ANITA L. RATLIFF Anita L. Ratliff, 70, of Yuma died Feb. 7, 2007, in Yuma. She was born July 19, 1936, in Douglas, Ala., and was owner of a beauty shop. A viewing will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Johnson Mortuary Chapel, funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Desert Lawn. Johnson Mortuary is handling arrangements.  |
